Available Positions
Receptionist (Full Time)
- The Receptionist duties include the following:
- Screen calls and take messages.
- Assist client’s, members of the public, partner organisations and organisations subject to National Security Clearance (NSC) to the SVU with their queries.
- Respond to all inquiries in a polite and timely manner.
- Effectively answer and direct phone calls to the section of the SVU.
- Welcome and greet visitors in a warm and friendly manner and answer any questions visitors have.
- Keep detailed and accurate records of visitor requests and of calls received.
- Receive deliveries; sort and distribute incoming mail.
- Take inventory of supplies and restock as needed.
Perform other administrative duties as required to support the mission and function of the SVU or as directed by the Director of the ACAT Agency.
Scheduling Clerks (Full Time)
- Scheduling Clerk duties include the following:
- Liaise with the organisations that are subject to National Security Clearance (NSC) to acquire their staff lists in order to facilitate scheduling.
- Add, cancel, or make changes to appointments in SVU integrity testing schedule.
- Resolve appointment conflicts for SVU staff and clients.
- Schedule staff coverage in order to ensure the SVU’s best operations standards.
- Produce and process schedules and reports as they are requested by the Ops O-SVU.
- Produce and process NSC certification notification as directed by the Director of the SVU.
Scheduling Clerks shall be prepared to perform other administrative duties as required to support the mission and function of the SVU or as directed by the Director of the ACAT Agency.
Custodian (Full Time)
- Custodian duties include the following:
- Performs general, routine custodial duties, to include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies.
- Performs routine maintenance to custodial equipment and supplies.
- Empties trash receptacles, disposes trash into compactors and/or dumpsters, and bags trash for proper disposal.
- Unlocks doors, ensuring doors are locked after cleaning areas.
- Reports needs and concerns to Ops O-SVU, which may include submitting or recommending work orders and checking supply levels.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- The Custodian shall be prepared to perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned or as directed by the Director of the ACAT Agency.

Application Process

A whistleblower is someone who reports misconduct, illegal activities, or corruption within an organization to authorities or the public.
Initial Interview
Whistleblower protections may include:
- Legal protection from retaliation, such as dismissal, demotion, or harassment.
- Confidentiality to protect their identity.
- Access to support systems, such as legal aid or counseling
- You are entitled to have your disclosure dealt with fairly and to receive periodic updates of how it is being dealt with at intervals of no more than 30 days.
- If the disclosure is assessed as not suitable for an inquiry, to be told the reason why within 15 days of the decision being made.
- Not to be treated unfairly or subjected to detrimental action (victimization). There is a rebuttable presumption that if a whistleblower suffers detrimental action at or around the time, he makes the disclosure, that it was taken as result of his making the disclosure.
- Remedies
- Dismissal of a whistleblower is to be treated as an unfair dismissal under the Employment Rights Act, 2012-19. Other civil remedies are also available to the whistleblower.
Background Investigation
- Personal grievances unrelated to corruption or illegal activities.
- Reports without factual evidence or based solely on rumors.
- Complaints about workplace policies unless they involve unethical or illegal actions.
Polygraph Test and/or Eyedectect

Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
A report should include:
- A clear description of the misconduct.
- Names of individuals involved.
- Evidence or documentation, if available.
- Date, time, and location of the incident.
Participating in training, briefings, or deployments as required.
- The report is reviewed by the relevant authorities or organization.
- An investigation may be initiated to verify the claims.
- Appropriate actions are taken, ranging from disciplinary measures to legal prosecution.
