The Anti-Corruption and Anti-Terrorism Agency (ACAT) of Barbados is a cornerstone institution dedicated to upholding integrity, transparency, and justice. Established under the Anti-Corruption and Anti-Terrorism Agency Act, 2021-5, ACAT was created to safeguard public trust and combat corruption, financial misconduct, and terrorism-related activities in both the public and private sectors. Our Leadership and Team
In 2022, Mr. Darwin Dottin was appointed as the Director General of Anti-Corruption and Anti-Terrorism Agency (ACAT), Mr. Dottin, a visionary leader with an extensive background in law enforcement, public service, and national security. He brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to fostering integrity and transparency across all sectors. His leadership has been instrumental in shaping the agency’s strategic direction and operational effectiveness, ensuring that ACAT remains at the forefront of efforts to combat corruption and mitigate the threats posed by terrorism.
Under Mr. Dottin's guidance, The Agency is evolving as a dynamic and highly capable investigative body. His focus on building a culture of accountability, ethics, and excellence coupled with professionals from diverse fields, including law enforcement, financial analysis, intelligence, and legal expertise. The team’s collective knowledge and expertise allow ACAT to tackle the complex, ever-evolving challenges of corruption and national security in today’s interconnected world.
By 2024, The Agency had successfully established a robust and talented team. This growing team of professionals is empowered to address a wide range of criminal activities, from financial fraud and public sector corruption to terrorism-related threats.
